James
D. Nogalski is Associate Professor
of Old Testament Interpretation. He comes to the School of Divinity from
Northern Baptist Theological Seminary in Lombard, IL, where he taught Old
Testament and Hebrew. He holds the B.A. from Samford University in Birmingham,
AL, the M.Div. from the SBTS in Louisville, KY, the Th.M. from the Baptist
Theological Seminary in Rueschlikon, Switzerland, and the D.Theol. from
the University of Zurich, Zurich, Switzerland. He has also had ministerial
experience, having served churches in Indiana, Kentucky, Alabama, and Kaiserlautern,
Germany. A prolific scholar, Dr. Nogalski has written, translated, or edited
six books and has produced over 40 scholarly articles and book reviews.
He is one of the leading authorities on what is called in the Christian
canon, the Minor Prophets, and in the Hebrew canon, The Book of the Twelve,
and is currently producing a commentary on the Minor Prophets to appear
in the Smyth & Helwys Commentary Series.
