Sheryl
Ann Dawson Adams is Professor of
Church History and Theology. Adams came to the School of Divinity from the
International Baptist Theological Seminary in Buenos Aires, Argentina, where
she was an associate professor of theology. She completed her Bachelor of
Music Education degree at Northeast Louisiana State University, her Master
of Education at Louisiana State University, and her Master of Divinity and
Doctor of Theology degrees from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary.
Adams has also lectured and written in the area of women in ministry. She
has been published in journals in both English and Spanish. Adams' book,
What the Bible Really Says about Women, was published by Smyth &
Helwys. Adams recently delivered a lecture entitled "The Cross
and Sin-Bearing," in conjunction with Gardner-Webb University's "Year
of the Scholar" lecture series.
